“ Back again !!! It's been a couple of months but hands down my favorite fish place . Had the yen for Southport's fish . Started off with the mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce :)). Ordered the New England clam chowder soup which was amazing followed by the best Mahi Mahi so fresh and delicious , wifey got the blackened , I got the grilled must say the blackened won !!!!!! ”
“ First visit here after learning they offered grilled oysters. We had about a 15 minute wait and were then seated inside. Outside seating is done on a separate list and had a longer wait. Ordered two dozen grilled oysters and some mozzarella sticks. The oysters were very good. We've been grilled oyster fans since trying them in New Orleans. While not quite "loaded" (all la Drago's) with garlic butter for dipping bread they were delicious. ”
“ Stopped by for a quick bite and drink during happy hour which is Monday-Thursday from 3pm - 7pm. Had the half pound Old Bay shrimp for $9 and a tequila soda which was $5. Enjoyed both. Quick, attentive and friendly service. On the water seating available with great relaxed ambiance. Will be back. ”
“ Have only ever came for a drink but it was on my list to stop in for food! A laid-back atmosphere with great service. We were a table of 7 seated quickly. We got the fresh oysters to start which were super fresh and delicious! I opted for the chicken Caesar salad, which was decent but nothing to write home about. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos, which he noted were good. The highlight of the evening was definitely our server, who was friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a solid spot with tasty seafood options, and I'm looking forward to coming back! ”
“ As I travel I look for restaurants that the locals go, well I found a hidden Gem This is a small restaurant that sits in a small strip mall. Parking is very limited in front , we ended up parking across the street. We sat out back by the water, see the view in the pictures. They did have a gentleman playing guitar and singing out back. I started out with a Rum Punch, it was your typical punch, very good. We got some appetizers, clam strips, peel and eat shrimp, and some bread. The shrimp was seasoned with Old Bay very tasty and the bread was amazing. I started off with some Clam Chowder, very, very good! Lots of clams and potatoes and had very good flavor. Entrees, I got a special, Spicy Coconut Mussels, BAM... soo good! They must have used coconut milk. We also got some crab legs with corn, also very good. Hold the door.... Save room for dessert! We ordered 3, you must get the Key Lime pie and the dessert special was dos Leche (not sure of the name) this was super Amazing, a must get if it is on the special board. Also got their chocolate lava cake, which was very good. Service was amazing, quick and helpful. If you are local, you need to try this place, if visiting, put this on your list. ”
“ We were on a fishing charter down the street from the Southport Raw bar and landed a nice king Mackerel. The boat captain recommended this spot to cook the fish up for us so we decided to check it out. It's definitely a neighborhood spot, we sat at the bar and asked that the fish be blackened. Along with it we ordered onion rings and broccoli and had a couple drinks. The fish and sides came out in pretty short order and it was cooked perfectly. They definitely know their seafood here! The onion rings were good, and the broccoli a bit overcooked for my personal taste. All and all a great spot, definitely check it out if you're in the area!! ”
“ Has fresh seafood. Free dockage. Big pitchers of beers. Went for lunch. Great waterfront views to relax. Has a rustic feel in the interiors. Had a mahi mahi sandwich and it was good. Quick service. Parking is a bit tight though. ”
“ Southport Raw Bar in Fort Lauderdale is a gem! The restaurant offers beautiful water views that create the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. We appreciated the free parking--a rare find in this area. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. We ordered a cheeseburger, mahi mahi, clam chowder, and two mojitos. The food was good overall, with the mahi mahi standing out as a highlight. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful, and the cheeseburger was cooked to perfection. The mojitos were quite strong, which may be a plus or minus depending on your preference. Overall, the prices are reasonable for the quality and location. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Southport Raw Bar is worth a visit! ”
